Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 Following your pick up, we make our way via Salisbury, where the magnificent cathedral has Britain's tallest spire, after time here we continue to the Hermitage Hotel, Bournemouth for 4 night's half board.
Day 2 Today we visit Compton Acres Garden where we have a special exclusive 90-minute guided tour led by the head gardener or a Compton Acres Garden expert followed by free time to explore the gardens at leisure. Later we take afternoon tea at Cliffhanger Restaurant to hear tales from Mr Selfridge and his butler of how the original Mr Selfridge rented Highcliff Castle for his family.
Day 3 Spend today at leisure, relax around the hotel or visit the popular seaside town of Bournemouth. Take time to enjoy the 7-miles of splendid golden beaches or browse in the wide variety of shops in the town centre. For the more active, why not enjoy a pier to pier walk starting at Boscombe Pier and wandering along the promenade to Bournemouth Pier.
Day 4 Travel to Poole Harbour this morning for a boat trip along the splendid Dorset Heritage Coast to the resort of Swanage. Spend time in the Victorian town before boarding the steam train for a nostalgic journey through six miles of magnificent Purbeck countryside to Nordon to re-join the coach back to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast we make our way into the New Forest where ponies and cattle still have the right of way as they freely graze the land. While here we make a stop in Lyndhurst before our journey back to Essex with a suitable stop on route arriving back in Chelmsford early evening.
