The Peak District National Park is a lovely area of varied scenery. Wild hilltops, sheep grazed crags, lush green valleys, babbling streams and picturesque villages and towns. Our itinerary is as varied as the landscape and not only takes advantage of some of England's finest views but also the fabulous stately homes this area has to offer.

Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 Departing from your local pick up point, we travel north and make our way via Oakham and Melton Mowbray time for lunch then continue to the hotel with time to settle in before our evening meal.

Day 2 - 4 Experience: Cromford Mills
Journey along streets designed by Sir Richard Arkwright, the 'Father of the Factory System', follow in the footsteps of hundreds of mill workers with a village tour, as you immerse yourself in the history of this industrial heartland.
Experience: Heights of Abraham Cable Car Ride
A flight in a cable car is just the beginning of your day out at Heights of Abraham. Take your journey up to the summit in style and enjoy the magnificent views above and below. When you arrive at the summit you'll have access to: 60 acres of historic landscape; two famous show caverns and tours underground; lovely places to eat and drink with super views all around.
Experience: Renishaw Hall & Gardens
Embark on an exclusive and intimate tour of the home of the Sitwell family for almost 400 years. This grand country house plays host to a glorious collection of art, furniture and family heirlooms, collected over generations. Indulge in a lavish afternoon tea before discovering the quaint woodland, tranquil lake and magnificent Italianate gardens.
Experience: Tissington Hall
Reveal a 400-year history rich with stories of extravagant spenders and ruthless entrepreneurs during your guided tour of the Grade II listed Jacobean mansion house Tissington Hall. One of only 300 homes to still house the descendants of the original builder.
Day 5 We depart after breakfast and head for Grantham and the Boundary Mill store for an extended stop before heading back to Chelmsford.
