Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 After our morning collection from Chelmsford we journey to North Wales arriving at our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 Llandudno: Today, we enjoy a lovely drive via Colwyn Bay to the 'Queen of Welsh resorts', Llandudno, where we spend time enjoying its beautiful Victorian architecture, Edwardian elegance, pier, shops and attractions. While there we could enjoy a ride to the top of the Great Orme (not included) on the beautifully restored tram (local payment only).
Day 3 Snowdon Mountain Railway & Llanberis Lake Railway: At 4,560ft, Mount Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales. We take a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway for a journey to the 'rooftop of Wales' and, weather permitting, we will have spectacular views. The Visitor Centre has a gift shop and café where we have plenty of time. In the afternoon, we take a ride on the Llanberis Lake Railway, a narrow-gauge railway which follows the shores of the lake.
Day 4 Ffestiniog Railway: After breakfast, we travel through the spectacular scenery of Snowdonia National Park as we make our way to the seaside town of Porthmadog to board a train on the Ffestiniog Railway. Sit back and relax as we enjoy the 13.5 mile journey with dramatic views of mountains, lakes and waterfalls around every corner, to Blaenau Ffestiniog. From here we travel by coach to Betws-y-Coed nestled in the heart of Eryri National Park, Betws-y-coed is a quaint village with a timeless allure. Its history dates back centuries, but it's rise came during the Victorian era when it became a destination of choice for those seeking an escape from bustling city life.
Day 5 We bid farewell to North Wales and leave the hotel after breakfast, making our way back to Chelmsford with suitable refreshment stops on the way.
