Holiday Itininerary

Day 1 Departing early morning from your local pick up point to Dover for our crossing to Calais. We make our way through Belgium to Germany and our first overnight at the Mercure Hotel Saarbrucken.

Day 2 Today we continue our journey to St Anton, Austria and our hotel for the next 5 nights.

Day 3 We spend today at leisure in St Anton where there is plenty to see and do. We can take advantage of our St Anton Summer Card, which includes a return journey on the cable car, entrance to St Anton's museum and indoor swimming pool, as well as complimentary use of local bus service.

Day 4 This morning we make our way to Bregenz, framed by impressive mountain chains and nestled by Lake Constance. There is time to enjoy and explore the medieval centre of the city and see the landmark Baroque onion spire of St Martins Tower before we journey a short distance around the shores of Lake Constance to the town of Lindau. Actually an island brimming with medieval and half-timbered buildings, we enjoy some free time here before our roundtrip Cruise in the Bregenz Bay.

Day 5 We spend today in Liechtenstein, a 25km long principality between Austria and Switzerland. Vaduz Main Street of Städtle which fittingly means 'small town' is the obvious place to start. Head toward the town centre on foot, and be sure to stop in at the tourist information office, which is where you can get those coveted passport stamps. Each one costs about €3 at the main desk. The town hall, cute cafes, souvenir shops and postage museum that take up the next few blocks can easily be navigated on foot, especially as it's a pedestrian-only area. Those who want to explore more without walking can hop on the Citytrain, which takes visitors through the old town, past the vineyards and through the surrounding countryside before returning to Vaduz.

Day 6 We spend this morning at leisure in the medieval town of Feldkirch. We enjoy free time to explore its medieval arcades and winding alleys and can also visit Schattenburg Castle for lovely views over the old town. We then continue our journey to Chur, where we join the Arosabahn. This lovely mountain railway takes us on a return journey from the bustling town of Chur to Arosa, climbing 1,000m in just 26kms, around tight curves and steep inclines.

Day 7 Today we leave our Austrian resort and make our way back to Saarbrucken for our overnight hotel.

Day 8 After a buffet breakfast we depart for the journey back through Germany and Belgium to Calais France for our crossing to Dover. We return to our home area early evening.
