Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 After our morning collection from Chelmsford we journey to North Wales arriving at our hotel late afternoon.

Day 2 Experience: Bodrhyddan Hall
Nestled within several hundred acres of North Wales countryside, stumble across the Grade 1 listed imposing hall, home of Lord Langford and his family for over 500 years. Hear of its fascinating vibrant past, as your tour guide takes you from significant collections of arms and armour and fine art, to a 3,000-year-old Egyptian mummy & Sarcophagus. Roam through the colourful gardens, including cascading lawns, a Japanese walk of life and a formal Victorian parterre designed by WE Nesfield, renowned architect who also worked at Kew Gardens and Kinmel Hall.

Day 3 Experience: Welsh Highland Railway
Snake around seemingly impossible bends and climb steep gradients on The Welsh Highland Railway, the UK's longest heritage railway, from Caernarfon, past the foot of Snowdon and on to the picture postcard village of Beddgelert. This award-winning railway boasts some of the most comfortable carriages on any preserved railway, sit back and enjoy the view!

Day 4 Experience: The Ffestiniog Railway
The oldest independent railway company in the world, established in 1832. Chug your way past 13½-miles of outstanding scenery including glorious coastlines, ancient oak woodlands, mountains, rivers and castles. Look out for the delightful Porthmadog harbour, rolling peaks and daringly deep troughs all the way to the slate-quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Day 5 We bid farewell to North Wales and leave the hotel after breakfast, making our way back to Chelmsford with suitable refreshment stops on the way.
