Holiday itinerary
Day 1 After our local pick-ups we leave Chelmsford and make our way across the Severn Bridge into South Wales to The Grand Hotel Swansea for the next four nights. Tea/coffee and delicious Welsh cakes on arrival.
Day 2 -4 Experience: Cardiff Castle Guided Tour
An expert-led tour will walk you through a history that spans 2000 years at Cardiff Castle, commissioned by William the Conqueror, once slept in by roman soldiers and with knights holding court, transformed by an architect and Marquess collaboration, into a Victorian fantasy with elaborate and grand interiors, nurtured and completed by the Bute family! Duration: approx. 50 mins
Experience: Swansea Waterfront Winterland
Host to talented crafters, traditional traders and delicious street food vendors, Swansea Christmas market provides a great chance for some last-minute shopping for handcrafted stocking fillers, unique gifts, tempting treats and decorations or just to soak up some yuletide atmosphere before, sampling some freshly baked goods or artisan chocolates.

Running for nearly 30 years, the Cardiff Christmas market is famed as a unique visitor attraction offering alternative shopping where you can buy original work direct from the makers! Take your pick from a diverse range of arts, crafts and seasonal food and drinks.
Day 5 After breakfast we begin our journey homeward back to Essex, with suitable stops for coffee and lunch on route.
