North Devon's Scenic Sights & Harbour Town Delight

Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 After your early morning pick up we head over to the west country stopping for coffee and lunch on the way, before continuing our journey south into the beautiful county of Devon and onto Barnstaple arriving at our hotel late afternoon.

Day 2 RHS Garden Rosemoor & Bideford
This morning we make our way to enchanting RHS Garden Rosemoor. Nestled in the Torridge Valley, the Rosemoor gardens are eye catching at any time of year. We also have a 1 hour general garden tour. In the afternoon, we spend time at leisure in the traffic-free lanes of the historic harbour town of Bideford. Explore the quirky shops, the riverside quay and the historic indoor Pannier Market (involves an uphill walk).

Day 3 Lynton & Lynmouth & Ilfracombe
This morning, we spend time at leisure in the twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, where we can take the cliff railway from one to the other! (Disabled access is limited) Here we can explore the little independent shops selling local produce, gifts, arts and crafts. In the afternoon, we head to Ilfracombe, where we have free time to relax on the seafront and explore the attractions and picturesque natural harbour.

Day 4 Bude & Barnstaple
This morning we travel along dramatic north coast to the dramatic Cornish resort of Bude with its sweeping sandy beaches and canal. We enjoy free time for lunch here before returning to the charming market town of Barnstaple. The ancient town preserves a medieval character and we have time to enjoy its points of interest, including the historic Pannier Market (open Tue-Sat). Its wide range of stalls offer everything from local produce, flowers and crafts, to fashion, prints and pictures.

Day 5 After breakfast, we make our way home with suitable stops along the way.
