Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 Morning departure from your local pick-up point, we then make our way to our hotel in Bristol. This evening we savour an exclusive private Sunday dinner on Brunel's SS Great Britain, featuring a three course set meal as you immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and smells of life aboard a Victorian vessel.
Day 2 Saphos Steam Train Experience: Depart from Bristol Temple Meads as you settle into meticulously restored 1920s carriages hauled by an authentic steam locomotive, where liveried stewards serve a sumptuous full English or fish breakfast with pastries. Admire the breathtaking landscapes of the Great Western Railway route, known as Brunel's Billiard Table. Bypassing Western-Super-Mare, and travelling through Bridgewater and Taunton, enjoy the views of the River Exe and the famous sea wall with views of Torbay.
Uncover "Britain's Ocean City" Plymouth, renowned for its spectacular waterfront views and rich maritime heritage. Transfer to the atrraction. Re-board the train and taste the best of Britain with an exquisite five-course seasonal dinner, complimented by the sommeliers choice of a half bottle of wine per person.
Day 3 Bath. This ancient city has a compact centre filled with independent shops and boutiques, charming cafés and trendy bars, Bath also has countless cultural sights for you to visit such as the ancient Roman Baths, the oldest and most renowned of the city's historic attractions, or enjoy the architectural splendour of the iconic Royal Crescent, majestic Abbey and Pulteney Bridge. Bath also has a remarkable collection of galleries and museums, including a museum of Jane Austen's life. (Breakfast and dinner at the hotel).
Day 4 After breakfast we make our way back to Chelmsford via the southern Cotswolds with suitable stops on route.
