The approach along a tree lined entrance leads to the hotel and is the visitors' first hint that this hotel is something out of the ordinary. Parts of the building date back to the 14th century and the present Georgian mansion was built 175 years ago. The features of this elegant era have been sumptuously restored to create a hotel with poise and character of its own.

Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 We travel from your local pick up point and drive north to Harrogate to arrive at the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 2 We have two scenic excursions, the first into the historic market town of Skipton, just outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park boundary, Skipton which prides itself on being 'The Gateway to the Dales'. From the Castle and nearby Holy Trinity Church the town grew around the market place, expanding along what is now the High Street, with coaching Inns, yards and craftsmen's workshops.
Day 3 Free day: Nidd Hall Historic House - Sit back with a book in the library, relax in the Drawing Room or indulge in a decadent afternoon tea in the Terrace Restaurant. Leisure Facilities - Indoor pool, fitness studio and a range of tempting beauty treatments. Outdoors you'll find a freshwater angling lake, croquet and bowls. Beautiful Grounds - Overlooked by our elegant terrace, the stunning gardens are a pleasure to explore.
Day 4 Today we visit York the medieval walled city that really packs a punch. Its backdrop of cobbled lanes, winding 'Snickelways' and even a shopping street that dates back to the Domesday Book, mean this compact city is packed with stuff to see.
Day 5 We depart after breakfast stopping in Harrogate for a while before our journey home arriving back in Chelmsford about 6.00pm.
