Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 After your local pick-ups, we make our way to Stamford for lunch before heading across to Nottinghamshire arriving early afternoon to check in for the next 4 nights.
Days 2 Todays excursion will be to the Cathedral City of Lincoln. Lincoln is a city in the East Midlands. It's known for the medieval Lincoln Cathedral, with early printed books in a Wren-designed library. Lincoln Castle houses a Victorian prison and a copy of the Magna Carta. The Museum of Lincolnshire Life has social history exhibits in Victorian barracks. The Collection is a museum displaying local archaeology. Nearby, the Usher Gallery has works by Turner and Lowry.
Day 3 Free day to enjoy our hotel. Leisure facilities include swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, croquet, putting green, bowls and much more! There is a café, two bars, a library, a gift shop and you can enjoy a full programme of activities during the day.
Day 4 Scenic excursion into the Peak District. Rolling across the Pennines' southernmost hills is the glorious Peak District National Park. Ancient stone villages are folded into creases in the landscape, and the hillsides are littered with stately homes and rocky outcrops. Stopping for lunch in Bakewell.
Day 5 We leave after breakfast and head home, lunch stop at Downtown, Grantham on route back to Chelmsford arriving late afternoon.
